The story of this classy Eire Gin starts in Southern Ireland with mild oceanic climate and bountiful land. Some say the rugged peninsulas of West Cork are the Shangri-La for growing malted barley. And that’s where the name comes, too: “Eorna Braiche” means “malted barley” in Gaelic. Since Ornabrak Gin is distilled in a single distillery using pot stills and malted barley, it’s a proud Single Malt.
 
Patrick Shelley of Origin Spirits makes sure base Spirit is their own creation, while the botanicals are as local as it gets. There are five of them in this bottle: juniper, garden angelica, lemon verbena, Douglas fir, and lemon peel. They enter the equation during the fifth distillation and the result is a complex and floral magic with unique creaminess and a harmony of botanicals. Good tonic is a smart choice, but good Gin is a must.
