Red Bonny Dark Rum

A blend of Dark Demerara Rums from Guyana with plenty of heat and an anise base note.

Drinksology Kirker Greer was founded in 2007 by Steven Pattison and Richard Ryan. Still independently owned, they are based in Belfast Northern Ireland but have strategically located offices in Dublin, London, and New York. They consistently churn out a delightful selection of Spirits from scratch in a creative frenzy for such a young company. Their exceptional products range widely across the landscape from Whiskies and Gins to Rums and Liqueurs.

One of the most famous Irish pirates in the Caribbean during the early 1700s was also a woman — Red Bonny. Since Kirker Greer is headquartered in Ireland, it is only fitting that they named this swarthy Dark Rum after the feisty lass.

Red Bonny Dark Rum is a blend of Demerara sugar Rums from Guyana. They are matured in darkly-toasted oak for up to three years just a few degrees of latitude above the Equator — and Spirits age quickly under that tropical sun.

Anne "Red" Bonny was a real person. She was one of the two most famous female pirates of the era. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, with bright red hair. But she was fierce in plunder and battle — often disguising herself as a man to join the fighting.
