Typewriter Porcelain Limoges Box by Rochard

Before laptops and spell check, stories were built one clacking key at a time, with a bell at the end of every line. This Rochard box honors that era with a porcelain typewriter, hand-painted in Limoges, France.

Ding at the End of the Line

The typewriter still carries a certain romance for writers, reporters and anyone who learned to type on one. Rochard captures its familiar shape in porcelain, painting the keys and body by hand so that each finished box has its own character. It is a nod to the days of carbon copies and correction tape.

Celebrating the Written Word

Give it to a novelist on publication day, a journalist with a new byline, or a longtime secretary heading into retirement. Students finishing a thesis and screenwriters landing their first deal will appreciate it too. On a writing desk beside a stack of manuscripts, or on a bookshelf among old favorites, it makes a quiet statement about the work that happens there.

Painted After the Firing

Like many Limoges boxes, this kind of piece is painted by hand after the white porcelain is fired, and its metal mounts are fitted by hand too.
