White Bowling Pin Rochard Limoges Box with Green Ball

A white bowling pin stands tall with a green bowling ball ready to roll beside it, the whole lane captured in two pieces. This Rochard Limoges box is porcelain, and its painters worked on it by hand in Limoges, France.

Strike on Lane Seven

Bowling has filled Friday nights and league schedules for generations, and the pin and ball are its instant symbols. Here the pin forms the box while the removable ball adds a playful touch. All the painting is done by hand, so each set has its own slight variations.

League Night Lineup

• A Rochard sport design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Joins golf, tennis and baseball pieces on a sports shelf
• Fits a hobby or game room collection

Trophy Case Worthy

Give it to a league champion, a teammate who finally bowled a perfect game, or a couple who met at the lanes. It also makes a fun thank-you for a league organizer or a bowling alley owner. Place it in a trophy case, on a game room shelf or on a desk beside the score sheets. Bowlers tend to be loyal to their sport for decades, and a porcelain pin makes a lasting reminder of all those strikes and spares.

A Craft Dating to the 1700s

Limoges has turned out porcelain since the late 1700s, after fine white kaolin clay was found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768.
